From Solo Consultant to Inc. 5000 Agency
For more than thirty years, Thomas Young has shown how smart marketing drives real business growth. What started as a one-person sales and marketing consulting practice grew into Intuitive Websites (IW) a digital agency recognized twice on the Inc. 5000, with a team of more than twenty and hundreds of clients across North America.
From the beginning, Tom understood websites get results when they work for the people who use them. Websites that are intuitive have clear and easy to use navigation, benefit-driven content and rely on insights from users. That belief is the foundation of the agency, Intuitive Websites, and still shapes the way Tom helps business leaders succeed in the age of AI.
“During user-testing sessions in the early 2000s, I heard the same request again and again. People wanted websites to be intuitive to their needs. That insight became the name and foundation for Intuitive Websites.”

Experience & Background
What stands out about Tom isn’t just the agency he built—it’s the way he thinks.
Clients and audiences quickly recognize his blend of strategic vision and real-time insight: the ability to read a business, spot growth opportunities, and turn fast-moving trends like AI search into clear next steps.
For more than 25 years, he has refined a rare talent for live website reviews, seeing instantly where visitors get lost and how to turn clicks into customers. He laid out this approach in the IW Four-Step Process, detailed in his latest book, Digital Marketing in the Age of AI, a framework many companies use to align marketing with sales and achieve measurable growth. That instinct, sharpened through hundreds of Vistage presentations and thousands of site critiques, has made him a trusted advisor to CEOs and marketing teams alike.
Tom pairs that sharp eye with a mentor’s mindset. Whether acting as a fractional CMO, leading an EOS implementation, or coaching an executive group, he is known for bringing clarity to complexity with common sense that gives leaders the confidence to move forward.
Leadership and Values
Tom leads with equal parts decisiveness and genuine care. He brings endless curiosity and the kind of energy that turns new ideas into action. These qualities inspire teams and give people the confidence to do their best work. Colleagues describe him as a visionary who loves to collaborate and put the right people in the right seats so teams can thrive with clarity and purpose.
Away from strategy sessions he keeps his own energy high. He’s an avid tennis player and health enthusiast who believes balance fuels great leadership. And as a lifelong musician, he still finds time to pick up the guitars, bass or piano, program drum tracks and record dozens of original songs. This creative outlet keeps his mind sharp and his perspective fresh.
Tom divides his time between Colorado and Florida with his wife, Lori, and treasures time with his two adult sons, Bryce and Blake.
“I am passionate about success for our clients. This happens from the work of a great team of marketing pros aligned around this vision. This is why I founded IW with a mission to help clients achieve their goals.”
– Thomas Young, President & Founder, Intutive Websites
Between Colorado and Florida, Tom makes time for tennis wherever he is. It’s his reset button and a way to keep energy steady year-round.
Looking Ahead: Marketing in the Age of AI
Tom sees artificial intelligence not as a flash in the pan or a threat, but as the next big way to amplify human creativity and connection. He believes AI can sharpen marketing strategy by helping marketers deliver more relevant content, shorten the distance between curiosity and decision and create customer experiences that feel personal at scale.
“AI is disrupting marketing and the best marketers must embrace it. AI supercharges what marketers do well and they must use it to be visible in both traditional SEO and AI-driven search results.”
For Tom, the future belongs to leaders who approach these tools with curiosity and a clear sense of purpose. By leaning on data and automation to handle routine tasks, they give their teams the freedom to focus on what people do best: building trust, telling authentic stories, and shaping bold new ideas. That’s how marketers can help write the next chapter of growth for themselves and their companies.
“There was a time when people had no websites to visit, never thought they would use a credit card on a computer to buy things, never be able to post their own content or edit their website. AI is as big a gamechanger as any of these marketing revolutions.”
– Thomas Young, President & Founder, Intutive Websites
