Social Media is Getting Complicated

A major revolution occurred when Google became the search engine of choice. This happened mostly because Google was drastically easier to use than other search engines at the time and produced accurate search results. Facebook also grew dramatically because it was easy to use. It seems like we are now going in the opposite direction with Facebook and Google+ and this may slow their growth  as they become more complex and other social media sites attempt to capture market share.

Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn and other major social media sites must fight the urge to become more complex and offer more. They do best when they offer less and keep it relevant to meet user needs. Is there a social media site on the horizon that will take the place of Facebook? It could happen, just like Google only a few years ago.
