Marketing Pros Must Never Loose Sight of a Strong Website Strategy

As I write my new book and speak to business leaders around the country, the importance of a sound Website strategy is reinforced every day. The effectiveness of your strategy will equal the return from your Web marketing efforts. One reason strategy is so important is that it is transparent to Website visitors. The effort put in to your Website strategy will be fully experienced by your Website visitors.

For example, the strategy of “just get something out there” often results in an amateur looking site with no more relevance than an online brochure. This strategy turns away new business and does not build your brand. Current customers may tolerate this strategy and you may even get positive feedback from them, but this approach will hurt growth in the long term as your competitors develop more successful strategies and pass you by.

Don’t settle for a free template Website or brochure copy with amateur photos. Take the time to prepare your Web strategy and design a Website that properly communicates that strategy.
